1. Scope of Application.
This privacy policy applies to the websites of Fuchs Gewürze GmbH & Co. KG including the newsletters and closed user groups provided by Fuchs Gewürze GmbH & Co. KG as well as to our online shop. It shall not apply to the websites of other service providers, which are merely linked.

2. Access to Websites and Data.
For every access of a user to a page of our website and for every download of a file, information about these transactions are automatically saved and processed in a log file on our web server. In detail, the following data is saved with regard to every access/download:

    IP address of the enquiring computer,
    Date and time of the enquiry,
    Accessed website/name of the downloaded file,
    Transferred data volume,
    Information as to the access/download having been successful or not
    URL, from which the site respectively the file was accessed respectively from which the desired function was initiated
    Used web browser

The information listed above, including the IP address, is saved for the duration of the communication process so as to enable the use of our websites. Moreover, the IP address is saved for a short period in order to guarantee IT safety, particularly in order to protect our IT system from abuse and to repel attacks.
Furthermore, the information collected is analysed by means of Google Analytics for statistical purposes and to improve our websites.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysing service provided by Google Inc. (“Google“). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies“, which are text files saved on your computer allowing an analysis of your use of the website. The information on your use of this website generated by the cookie (including the IP address) is transferred to and saved on a server of Google in the USA. Google will use this information in order to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports for the website operators regarding the website activities and to provide further services in line with the use of the website and the internet. Moreover, Google may transfer this information to third parties, as far as this is statutorily regulated or provided that third parties process this information on behalf of Google. In no case, Google shall relate your IP address to other data of Google. You may avoid the installation of the cookies by an appropriate setting of your browser software. However, we draw your attention to the fact that you will probably not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extend in this case. By using our website, you comply with the processing of the information collected on you by Google in the way and for the purpose described above.
3. Cookies.
On our website we make use of so-called cookies. A cookie is a small file with figures and letters which is transferred from our web server to the hard disk of your computer and which is saved there in the folder intended for cookies.
We use temporary cookies in order to facilitate the navigation on our websites for you (session cookies); these cookies expire after the session; they are deleted at the latest when closing your web browser.
When offering you an eCard service, we make use of permanent cookies. These are saved on the computer of the eCard receiver as soon as he or she downloads the eCard addressed to him from our database. In this cookie, the name and e-mail address of the eCard sender are saved so as to make it easier for the receiver of the eCard to answer. The maximum storage time of these cookies amounts to 30 minutes.
Furthermore, cookies are applied in accordance with section 2 at Google Analytics.
You may prevent the storage of cookies by means of the settings of your web browser software. Generally, web browsers provide various functions, on which information can be found in the help file of your web browser software. Usually, you may configure these settings in a way that all cookies are blocked automatically or that only cookies of certain websites are allowed or that you are warned before a cookie is saved. We draw your attention to the fact that blocking cookies of our websites might lead to a limited range of functions with regard to the use of our website and also of other providers’ websites.
Internet-Explorer 7.0 e. g. allows the blocking of cookies as follows:

    Being in the Internet Explorer, click on the button “Extras“ and then click on “Internet Options“
    Click on the tab “Data Security” and move the scroll bar to the level of data security you would like to apply. When choosing “block all cookies“, all cookies from all websites will be blocked; cookies that are already saved on your computer cannot be read by the websites. You may also define individual data privacy settings for certain websites.

4. Subscribing to Newsletters.
When subscribing for one of our newsletters, we will survey and save your e-mail address. We will use the e-mail address indicated by you when subscribing for a newsletter as far as this is necessary for the subscription, transmission and cancellation of the newsletter. At the moment of cancelling the subscription, we will be deleting the saved e-mail address. We will not pass it to any third party unless we will be legally obliged to do so. As far as we allow you to indicate further data with regard to the subscription, this information will be given on a voluntary basis.
5. Participation in Sweepstakes.
When participating in one of our sweepstakes, we will survey and save – in addition to your answer – your contact details, usually the form of address, your first and last name, your postal and e-mail address and if applicable your phone number and an indication of your age. Your contact details are required in order to inform you in case of a win, your e-mail address is needed to confirm your participation in the sweepstakes, an indication of your age is necessary for reasons of protecting underaged persons. We use your data to the extent necessary for carrying out the sweepstakes, particularly to determine the winners, to answer possible questions and to hand out the prizes. We use your first and last name as well as your postal address for advertising our own offers unless you let us have your objection to the processing and use of your data for this purpose. Unless we are not legally allowed or obliged to do so, we will not pass on your data to any third party. As far as we allow you to indicate further information beyond the mandatory data in connection with the sweepstakes, this information shall be given on a voluntary basis. We reserve the right to make the participation in the sweepstakes dependent of indicating certain information or dependent of the consent to certain data processing, e.g. the publication of the winner’s name and residence on our website.
6. Contact Form; E-Mails.
When using our contact form or when sending us e-mails, you are free to indicate fictitious information concerning your identity or merely your e-mail address. We save your indications including your e-mail address to the extent required for answering your message. When sending us a message via our contact form or via e-mail in an unencrypted way, your message is not protected against unauthorised notice or modification by third persons during the transmission.
